Cleaning Sphynx Cats
Because Sphynx cats lack body hair that would normally absorb body oils, your Sphynx will need to be bathed periodically (you may notice the skin of your Sphynx starts to have an oily feel). We here at Sphynx Cats Australia suggest bathing your kitten every two weeks, and once a week as they get older. However, some cats may require more frequent bathing. This is not a difficult task with a cat that has been accustomed to a bath from kittenhood, and it takes no time at all to dry a Sphynx. I recommend using Johnson's Baby Shampoo at bathtime for younger cats, and Dermcare shampoo (available from your vet) as your cat gets older.
